Event Moderation 101: How to Filter and Approve Live Photo Wall Uploads

Use a simple review routine to keep a shared gallery and live display aligned with the host’s preferences.

Event memories are easiest to keep when everyone knows what to do. This guide breaks the process into clear steps you can use before, during, or after a celebration.

Choose the right review setting

Some KoloPix plans include moderation controls. Before the event, open the event settings and check whether review-before-display is available for your workspace. If it is, enable it before sharing the QR code.

Review from a second device

Keep the creator dashboard open on a phone or tablet while the Photo Wall runs on the venue screen. This makes it easier to review memories without interrupting the display.

Review the guest name and caption with each upload.
Approve suitable memories and leave anything unclear out of the public display.

Ask a co-host to help when the event is busy, if your plan supports additional access.

Set expectations with guests

A short note near the QR code can explain that uploads may be reviewed before appearing on the screen. This keeps the process transparent and reduces confusion when a new memory is not visible immediately.

After the celebration

Review the gallery once more, then download or retain the memories according to your plan. If a guest asks about an upload, check its status before asking them to submit it again.
